By joining the ISFB as an institutional member, Claritis confirms its commitment to sharing skills and developing talent within the French-speaking financial community. Lisa Desjardins and Christian Wolf, who have both been lecturers at the Institute for many years, talk about the reasons for joining, their company’s vision and the challenges of continuing education for finance professionals. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ms. Desjardins, what were the main reasons why your company decided to join the ISFB as an institutional member?<\/h4>\n

Christian Wolf and I have been teaching at ISFB for many years. We have always been convinced by the Institute’s associative model, which enables member institutions not only to offer training courses to their staff, but also to make available certain recognized experts in their field, who themselves act as trainers. As soon as the opportunity to become a member became available to non-financial establishments, we decided to join the association. <\/p>\n

Mr. Wolf, could you tell us a little about your company?<\/h4>\n

Claritis provides risk management and compliance consulting and outsourcing services for small and medium-sized financial institutions. Our team consists of 7 employees, each with solid expertise in one or more specific areas of risk management and compliance. Both in the courses we provide and in our day-to-day work, we strive for a pragmatic and value-adding approach. Compliance is a real asset when it helps to manage concrete risks, but it loses its relevance when it is reduced to the mechanical application of principles. <\/p>\n

Mr. Wolf, how do you see this membership contributing to the development of your employees’ skills and enhancing the attractiveness of your employer brand?<\/h4>\n

We plan to give our entire team the benefit of ISFB training courses in various areas of finance, beyond compliance and risk management. Lisa Desjardins and I have also taken an ISFB course on decentralized finance. These training courses enable our team to move beyond the strict confines of risk and compliance, to understand the world of finance from both technical and commercial angles. This opens up new horizons for our staff, and is an undeniable asset in their dealings with financial institutions. <\/p>\n

Ms. Desjardins, what do you think our professional association can contribute to the French-speaking world?<\/h4>\n

ISFB is first and foremost a network, and I think that’s what makes it so strong. Whether you’re a lecturer or a participant, through ISFB you have access to a community of people in French-speaking Switzerland who value the development of knowledge. I’m always happy to share my opinion or help a member on a subject that falls within my area of expertise, and I’ve also been known to ask a fellow lecturer for his opinion on a topic related to his own. <\/p>\n

Ms. Desjardins, the ISFB and SPHERE are offering a brand-new continuing education program for independent asset managers (IAMs), in which you will be taking part as an ISFB lecturer. What do you see as the main challenges facing IAMs today, and how can training like this address them? <\/h4>\n

We’re delighted to be involved as lecturers in this new program. We want to bring a practical approach to training. For an asset manager, mastering financial regulations is of course necessary. But these rules are only of value when we can make sense of them, and when they can be seamlessly integrated into the company’s processes. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
